• 1/2 cup Sugar
  • 2 tsp shortening
  • 1 egg
  • 1 cup sourmilk
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  •  1 tsp baking powder
  • 1 cup whole wheat flour
  • 1 cup white flour

Cream together sugar, shortening and egg.  Combine dry ingredients and add to above.  Add sourmilk and mix.  Fill muffin greased muffin pans and bake at 400 degrees for about 20 mins.
